Ronald V. Dellums Memorial SMART Scholarship 2024 – There are many scientists and engineers employed at the Department of Defence, a sizable federal agency. The majority of those who study science, technology, engineering, and math work for them. If you are a student studying these subjects, the Department of Defence can help pay for your education through a special scholarship program called SMART.
The SMART scholarship program is for students who will soon be starting college and want to study certain subjects related to science, technology, engineering, and math. High school seniors can also apply for a special scholarship called the Dellums SMART Scholarship. Students from minority backgrounds can study in science, technology, engineering, and math jobs in the military with the help of this scholarship.

Ronald V. Dellums: A Life Honored and a Legacy of Change
Dellums held the position of Chair of the House Armed Services Committee during the 103rd Congress, which ran from 1993 to 1955. Furthermore, he was the first black person to hold this significant position.
Later on, Congress created a special scholarship in memory of Dellums, who worked really hard throughout his life. The scholarship is meant to help students who are usually not represented in the Department of Defense’s science and math jobs.
Ronald V. Dellums, who was a very important person, did many different things to help people. In addition to being a leader in Oakland, he was formerly in the military. He was deeply concerned about making the world fair for everyone and supporting those in need. He was born in the same place he carried out all of these amazing deeds.
