Applications for the Utrecht Excellence Scholarships 2024 program are open now. Utrecht University in the Netherlands is one of the oldest universities and offers scholarships to international students. International students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA = the EU countries, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein). This scholarship is awarded to study for a master’s degree at Utrecht University. You need to have an admission offer from the eligible master’s programs to be eligible for this scholarship.

Scholarship Benefits:
The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship gives the following benefits:
- The tuition fee, or
- In addition to tuition fees, the income required for one year is linked to a residence permit for study determined by the IND (Immigration and Naturalization Service).

Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the Utrecht Excellence scholarship applicants must:
- Be a good student with an excellent record.
- Not hold an EU/EEA passport.
- Have completed your bachelor’s degree and/or secondary school outside the Netherlands.
- Have applied for an international master’s program with a start date of 1 September 2024.

Selection Criteria:
- Academic Quality.
- Your transcripts prove your academic excellence, class ranking certificates, GPA with grade distribution summary, and a statement/reference letter signed which is stamped by your university.
- Your motivation letter quality.
- Your application quality for the master’s program shows relevancy.
