Who Is Not Eligible for a Student Visa to Belgium?
Applicants do not need to apply for a Belgian student visa if:
- Anyone lives in one of the Schengen countries.
- Anyone national from the EU or EEA.
- Any applicant from New Zealand, Australia, US, Japan, Monaco, and the Republic of Andorra can directly apply for a residence permit after entering Belgium.
Visa Application Cost
The application fee is 180 Euros for the Belgium student visa. There are also visa fee waivers available if students meet the visa fee exemption requirements such as:
- A student has a scholarship from the Belgian State
- Student national of Israel, San Marino, Japan, Morocco, and Turkey
- Students in the programs of Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, and Lotus.
- Student Spouse or partner and Children are under the age of 21 (EU and Swiss citizens)

These are the following requirements for the Belgium Student Visa:
- Applicants must have a student visa application form.
- A Passport
- Acceptance Letter
- Certificate of Clean criminal record
- Proof of all previous educational documents.
- A cover letter in which you describe why you want to study in Belgium
- Proof of English language proficiency.
- Health insurance.
- Proof of your financial means but if you are on a scholarship then don’t need to provide any proof of bank statement.
- Your Two pictures.
