Types of Mexico Work Visas
There are two types of Mexico work visas such as:
Visitor Visa with work authorization:
This type of visa allows foreigners to come to Mexico for short-term work (up to 6 months). It is not a renewable visa.
Temporary Resident Visa with Work Permit (Work Visa):
It is the most common type of visa that allows foreigners who are seeking to work in Mexico for an extended period. It’s valid for up to 4 years.
Requirements for a Temporary Resident Visa with work permit
- You must have a Job offer in Mexico.
- Your Mexican employer applies for a work permit.
- You have to apply for the Visa at the embassy.
- You have a Valid passport
- Application forms.

How to Apply for the Mexico Temporary Resident Visa?
- Your Mexican employer applies for a Work Permit from the National Immigration Institute (INM) in Mexico.
- After the work permit is approved, You need to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa at a Mexican embassy or consulate in your home country.
- After entering in Mexico you need to exchange a Visa for a Residence Card which allows you to work and live there.
