Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria to be eligible for the scholarship at Seoul University in South Korea.
Must be an international Citizen except for citizens of South Korea. To apply for Masters or Combined Masters Degree programs at Seoul University you Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree. Must hold a Masters Degree to apply for the Doctoral Program. Proof of English Proficiency is also required.
Benefits of SNU Scholarship
There are the following scholarships offered by Seoul University for International Students in South Korea 2024-25:
Graduate Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students(GSFS):
- GSFS scholarship will cover the full tuition exemption for a maximum of 4 semesters
- Living expenses are 500,000 KRW per month depending on the recipients major.
Silk-Road Scholarship:
- Living expenses of 600,000 KRW/month for 4 semesters
- The Skill-Road Scholarship will cover full tuition fee exemption (maximum of 4 semesters)
- Maximum of 100,00,00 KRW for one economy round trip
- Korean language training fee exemption.
Overseas Koreans Scholarship:
If the applicants meet the scholarship conditions they will receive a full tuition exemption (maximum of 4 semesters).
- Living expenses of 900,000 KRW/month (maximum of 4 semesters)
- Airfare for one economy round trip
- Medical insurance subscription in a private company.
- Korean language training fee at the Language Education Institute (Maximum of 6 months)
Korean Government Scholarship Program(KGSP/GKS):
- Full tuition fee exemption for 4 semesters for a master’s and 6 semesters for PhD degree programs.
- Korean language training fee exemption
- Living expenses of 900,000 KRW/month
- One economy Airfare (round trip)
Note: The training in the Korean language is mandatory for international students and when any student does not obtain TOPIK grade 3 within a year then he/she is not eligible to enter any degree program.
